Along with cutting the first steel plate, CSIC’s W1000-1 project of 101# offshore wind power installation platform was kicked off officially in DSIC Shanhaiguan Heavy Industry on Nov.26, where smooth steel cutting of the project has initiated new journey in strategic partnership between Shanhaiguan shipyard and CSIC (Tianjin) Offshore Wind Power Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., which is quite significant for Shanhaiguan shipyard to enter the market of offshore wind power, and constantly enrich and readjust the product mix.
To carry out the green, low carbon and sustainable idea, the wind power, as a kind of clean and renewable energy resource, is applied in more broad fields. CSIC’s W1000-1 project of 101# offshore wind power installation platform, catering to the development of times, is emerging at the right moment. It is introduced that the platform is a self-elevating wind power installation platform with many an innovative patent and design highlight, mainly applied for installation of wind power equipment in the offshore and coastal areas of China, whose ship length is 93m, breadth 41m, moulded depth 7.0m and design draft 4.8m, equipped with one main slewing crane of max. 1000 tons lifting capacity, 25m handling radius and max. 115m crane height (above main deck), together with one slewing crane of max. 350 tons lifting capacity and 24m handling radius. The living quarters are arranged for 5 tiers, accommodating the residence of 100 persons. Its operation functions mainly consist of lifting, storage and carriage of the offshore wind turbines and towers, engine rooms, hubs and blades, etc.
