DSIC named for delivery of 319k DWT VLCC Kaiheng constructed for China Merchants Group on May 19 successfully, where the representatives signed on the Ship Delivery & Acceptance Protocol on behalf of DSIC, China Oil Shipping and CSOC respectively. China Merchants Group Deputy GM Deng Renjie, CSIC Deputy GM Chen Minjun, and DSIC leaders Liu Zheng, Yu Fengping, Deng Changlian and Hu Jianzhong presented the naming & delivery ceremony.
During construction of this project, DSIC has resolutely implemented the philosophy of management in place and construction in place, strictly controlled the block erecting precision, and ensured the efficiency of lifting for erection. The moulding cycle of the vessel’s forward half block was achieved for launching 4 days ahead of schedule; the one-time pass rate of ballast tank integrity acceptance test is 100%, recognized by the ship owners; the efficient lifting for positioning and mounting of 42 solar stands and their accessories was completed in a week, creating favorable conditions for smooth sea trial of the vessel.
